General Assembly is a private, for-profit education organization founded in early 2011. It maintains campuses in numerous countries throughout the world to teach entrepreneurs and business professionals practical technology skills.
I trained and mentored post-graduate professionals on tools and techniques which empowered them with market-ready skills. My area of specialty included SQL, Python, visualization tools including Tableau, Power BI, and Python visualization libraries such as Seaborn, Altair, Matplotlib, and Plotly.
General Assembly offers one to three-day short courses on popular topics and tools that vary in difficulty level. I led and supported 3 levels of SQL training in one and two-day session series. From assisting with technical understanding to supporting project development to hosting office hours, I worked alongside students building real-world portfolios.
Students purchased admission to class formats that fit their availability. I taught and supported Data Analytics students learning Excel, SQL, and Tableau in either a 10-week Analytics Part-Time format or a six-day Accelerated Experience for consumer customers for enterprise clients. I supported and trained Fortune 100 customers in 10-week Part-Time Advanced Analytics cohorts, delivering training on Excel for enterprise clients SQL, Tableau, and Python. Enterprise client students had homework, unit projects, and an ultimate capstone project specified by their senior management and supported by myself and the instructional team.
Skills Gap is a UK-based company committed to developing skills and enhancing career prospects by teaching in-demand digital skills in a modern group learning environment. These courses are available for young adults aged 15 to 19, specifically designed for anyone who’s just finished their A-level exams and is exploring career options before attending a university.
I mentored and trained the students during their exercise breakouts and integrated concepts taught for the capstone projects.
